UNIVERSITY CAMPUS TOURS
UK Campus Tour 2008
In November 2008, Lord Mitchell and Baroness Warsi launched a Coexistence Trust national campus tour of parliamentarians to UK universities. This tour was the first ever cross-party initiative to discuss Muslim-Jewish Student community relations on UK university campuses which included the LSE, Oxford, Cambridge, Birmingham and Leeds.
UK Campus Tour 2009
For the University Campus Tour 2009, we have developed a three-way partnership with the Tony Blair Faith Foundation and the Three Faiths Forum. In addition, The Coexistence Trust is initiating a process of consultation with other interfaith organisations so as to ensure that there is synergy between relevant student-facing programmes offered in 2009-2010.
Proposed Dates
29th October to 12th November 2009 (in advance of National Interfaith Week).
Venues
In 2008 The Coexistence Trust developed links with the LSE, Oxford, Cambridge, Birmingham and Leeds. This year we are also seeking to engage with SOAS, Nottingham, Manchester, Salford and Leicester.
